Ultimate Studio Showdown
OVERTIME and REPLAY are our high-energy dance-off events, designed to spotlight routines that deserve a second chance to shine.
OVERTIME is for Competitive and Elite dancers. One routine is pre-selected by each studio. In addition, judges and the emcee each have one wildcard opportunity to ring the Golden Gong and invite an entry back.
REPLAY is for Pre-Competitive dancers. It follows the same structure as OVERTIME, but does not include the Golden Gong wildcard system.

The Steps
Step 1
Studios pre-select their routine.
Step 2
Judges provide video critiques to apply improvements.
Step 3
Chosen entries return to perform in OVERTIME or REPLAY.
Step 4
Winners are crowned and invited back next season!
Performance
- GOLDEN GONG slots are selected by judges or emcee and will be announced during event
- GOLDEN GONG invites will receive notes from judges live at the event
- Transformation winner is select by judges
- Champions are selected by judges
F.A.Q.
Can I have more than one entry in OVERTIME?
Yes, that’s the beauty of the GOLDEN GONG, it’s an additional routine from your studio gets selected, you’ll have an additional representative!
When do we receive our video critiques?
See the backstage judge. We aim to give the video critiques after the last OVERTIME representative performs. In some cases, we will send it earlier and have the late OVERTIME representative receive their notes live.
Do I get one representative for REPLAY and one for OVERTIME?
Absolutely!
I don’t want to have to choose. Do I have to?
It’s up to you if you want to participate, but we strongly suggest you participate to get the full Versastyle experience. If you need help choosing, please let us know. We have suggestions to making this an enriching educational and fun experience.
